Dave and Heiko love working with wood and this has become their medium of choice to express their different art forms. Both of them met as volunteers of a social enterprise that promotes sustainable living and that is how their journey of making begin.
Pyrography is the skill that both of them love and it provides a relaxing analogue experience in an otherwise fast-moving digital life. The art of pyrography involves burning marks on pieces of wood that allows them to slow down and to enjoy using our hands to create artworks.
During their workshops, you will get to learn:
- Basic techniques of this traditional skill
- How to use all the equipments needed to create your own beautiful piece
- How to enjoy working on a board of Jelutong - a sustainable wood from South East Asia region
